Mushroom Foraging

Join us for an afternoon of learning and mushroom hunting on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM.

John will introduce us to the world of Berkshire fungi with a one-hour slide show, followed by a one-hour walk. We’ll identify some mushrooms on our walk and others when we return. You can also bring mushrooms for ID.

Please bring water, snacks, bug repellent, brown paper bag or woven basket, and a knife for harvesting. We'll be walking through Shantigar’s woodlands and bogs, so dress in layers and wear hiking shoes.
